Client: Haven Contemplative Labyrinth
The Challenge: Design a lo-fi spiritual experience for a start-up faith community on a shoe-string budget.
The Outcome: We gathered materials from our own garages, second-hand stores and designed an interactive labyrinth that featured stations guided by an audio recording for an inward journey of self reflection towards the center of the tent which culminated in Holy Communion and then an outward journey that lead the user to see themselves within their communities. This lead to an increased awareness of Haven’s start-up community. By utilizing a neutral theater space in Downtown San Jose, we engaged people that a typical evangelical church would not have been able to reach.
