Sarah Y. Lin

Human-Centered Creative Strategist

I help organizations understand what people truly need and design solutions people actually use.

Over the past 20+ years, my work has evolved from leading brand and market strategy to helping organizations translate invisible human experience into spaces, products, and rituals that drive meaningful engagement and performance.

I began my career as a creative director, leading brand and marketing initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, high-growth startups, and mission-driven nonprofits. After a decade in the corporate world, I co-founded a social enterprise empowering marginalized women in India. From seed to end consumer, we built a fair-trade lifestyle brand carried in more than 250 stores globally, including Nordstrom, Restoration Hardware, and Anthropologie. I was recognized by LVMH as a rising entrepreneur, and our work was featured in Martha Stewart Living and other national publications.

Today, through my consultancy practice, I partner with global technology teams, major nonprofit organizations, and community leaders to design human-centered systems that people can actually flourish collaboratively. My approach integrates neuroaesthetic insight, embodied facilitation, and material-based prototyping to help teams move from abstract user data to lived human understanding.

Recent engagements include guiding large-scale digital organizations to strengthen relational leadership and collaborative ownership, and partnering with nationally recognized nonprofits to prototype new models of engagement that help emerging generations experience meaning and connection in more embodied ways. Across contexts, the focus is consistent: turning human insight into environments and practices that improve adoption, trust, and creative capacity.

Former CEO and entrepreneur. Lifelong maker in clay and light. Still most energized when something invisible finally takes form…like riding a wave.
